Two crews of pupils in Years 7 to 9 embarked on a short voyage onboard Olga over the Easter holidays sailing around Plymouth Sound and further up the River Tamar.
Pupils had the opportunity to helm the 65ft yacht, raising and changing the sails and managing the complexities of a traditional pilot cutter. Pupils commented: ‘My favourite memory of the voyage was the squall. The voyage made me feel more confident on a boat.’ and ‘The voyage taught me to never give up.’
It was an excellent few days afloat.
