Year 8 pupils headed to Surrey for the weekend for a mini hockey and netball tour to play The Hawthorns School in Bletchingley.
On Friday evening, pupils enjoyed a bowling session at Guildford Spectrum, followed by dinner at the Brewers Fayre.
Saturday morning saw them up bright and early for a ‘Full English’ at 8am, before a 10am start at The Hawthorns, where both boys and girls enjoyed some highly competitive sport. There was a hockey win for the boys, but a netball loss for the girls, followed by a traditional match tea of sausage and chips.
The group finished off a great mini tour with a visit to Coral Reef in Bracknell for some water-based fun on the flumes and in the pools.
A wet and windy journey home was buoyed by a stop at the services and a late return to the Prep. Well done to the pupils involved for their excellent behaviour and to staff for giving up their time to take the pupils away.
