Sports Sponsorship Makes Mount Kelly Smile

Posted: 26th September 2024

Mount Kelly is smiling thanks to Spring Hill Specialist Dental Centre in Tavistock.

Their generous sponsorship of Mount Kelly’s sport programme across College and Prep is going a long way towards supporting our teams across all sports.

Known as the ‘smile architects’ Spring Hill’s experienced team of dentists bring over 80 years’ of experience between them. Believing that prevention is better than cure they take pride in guiding patients of all ages on the best way to protect their teeth and how to maintain good oral health.

Peter Davies, Specialist Endodontist at Spring Hill, said, “We are delighted to support Mount Kelly’s sports programme over three years and invite pupils of any age to come and visit us, even if it’s just to say hello and sit in the dental chair. A gentle introduction to the dentist and surgery is very important to help children feel as comfortable as possible when their appointments come around.

“We would usually recommend six monthly dental examinations for children, this will help to ensure that their teeth remain healthy and cavity free! It is very achievable for children to not need any fillings with good maintenance at home and keeping regular visits up to the dentist. However, if a little cavity is spotted and needs a filling then it can be easily done (pain free!) using a tooth-coloured filling material.

“Also, if you have any questions about braces then our Orthodontists will be more than happy to see your child for a consultation.”

Spring Hill is offering all holders of the Mount Kelly Reward Card (available from Reception at College and Prep) 5% off invisalign treatments.

Invisalign is an invisible orthodontics technique that allows the correction of your teeth to produce an improved smile, by aligning the teeth or moving their position.. Invisalign does not use metal wires as braces do, and is virtually invisible when worn. Special trays are custom made for your teeth, and every few weeks you wear a new tray, designed to eventually straighten your teeth. It can be used to treat gap teeth, underbite, crossbite, overbite, open bite and crowded teeth.
