As part of Food Waste Action Week, pupils in Years 3 to 8 participated in the Beyond Education initiative, delivered by Mount Kelly’s caterers Thomas Franks Ltd.
Year 8 pupils learnt about reducing food waste and sustainability, making banana pancakes and using the skins to make a delicious zero waste curry. Younger pupils practised their cutting skills, learning to make hummus, flat breads, crudités and vegetable sushi.
