Mount Kelly is an independent school located in Tavistock, Devon, UK. We are a co-educational school for children aged between 4 and 18 offering day, weekly, flexi and full boarding.

Last week, over 75 Mount Kelly pupils in Years 9 and 10 took part in this year`s UK Biology Challenge, one of the UK`s largest science competitions, with 42,000 pupils participating nationally. 🔬

Joey B secured a Gold Certificate with an outstanding score of 94.8%, followed by a strong collective performance across Years 9 and 10, securing Mount Kelly 8 Silver and 8 Bronze awards. 🥇🥈🥉

Particular congratulations to our Silver award winners:
Ethan M, Toby C, Leonard L, Oliver S, Julian B, Darcey T, George N and Jasmine B.

These fantastic results are a testament to the hard work, enthusiasm and scientific curiosity of all those who took part. Well done everyone! 🧬👏

Saturday 13 June until Saturday 20 June is Drowning Prevention Week, a national campaign dedicated to raising awareness of water safety and helping to prevent drowning incidents.

As we approach the warmer months and spend more time outdoors, it is important to remember that water can present hidden dangers, whether at the beach, rivers, lakes, canals, or even in the home. Taking time to learn basic water safety rules and understanding what to do in an emergency can help save lives.

We encourage all families to take a few moments this week to discuss water safety and explore the resources available via our bio.
