Road Closure
Monday 1 July until 23 August 2024
Essential roadworks must take place in between the junction with Parkwood Road and the back entrance on Mount Tavy Road. Violet Lane will continue to be closed. Please accept our apologies for the obvious inconvenience this will inevitably cause.
Vehicles should use the current one-way system in place, entering the back gate and exiting from the front gate. Your only exit route will be to turn right from the front gate down Mount Tavy Road through the roadworks. You will not be able to turn left out of the front gates.
Please note if coming from the Tavistock area, you will need to approach the school from Down Road or Whitchurch. Your best route is to head away from the golf course, taking one of the two routes that joins the B3357 and then follow the road to the lane at the back of the school. Please careful when turning off the main road. Please see a suggested route on the following link:

Air and Rail Links
By Air: Local international airports include Bristol (2 hours away) and Exeter (1 hour away) and motorway links provide straight-forward access to Heathrow.
By Rail: Both Plymouth and Exeter are on the main West Country line with fast trains from Paddington (London) to Exeter taking two hours.
Travelling by car
From the A30 from Exeter take the A386 exit just after Okehampton signposted to Tavistock. After about 10 miles you will arrive in Tavistock, just before you reach the town the College main entrance is on your right (after the entrance to the Swim Centre). If you are visiting the Prep continue along the A386 toward the town and take the first turning on your left and the entrance to the Prep is about a quarter of a mile on your left.
