Reception to Year 8 at the Prep enjoyed celebrating the French custom of Galette des Rois last week. This is for the French feast of the Epiphany, commemorating the arrival of the three kings to see the baby Jesus.
Each tutor group received their own cakes hidden in which is a "Feve" (charm). The youngest child in each class hid under the table and called out the names of the others for a piece of cake. Whoever received the piece of cake with the charm was king or queen for their day with royal duties including a choice of consort!
The Education Engineering team spent three intensive days at the very end of last term at Plymouth University.
