We understand that every child is unique and through our small class sizes and high staffing ratios we are able to give our pupils the highest levels of individual attention in order for them to reach their true potential and more. We aim for learning to be a rewarding and a stimulating experience, encouraging children to learn through exploration, investigation and discovery. Our well qualified and highly skilled staff provide a varied curriculum supported by specialist teachers in French, Design Technology, Physical Education and Music.
Mount Kelly Pre-Prep provides a purpose-built setting for children aged from age 4 to 7 years of age. The classrooms are colourful and inviting and benefit from a secure outside area to enhance the curriculum.
Teachers from all year groups interact with all of the children in the Pre-Prep, which promotes a special community feeling and ensures transitions from each year group are as smooth as possible.
The Pre-Prep runs many charity and social events, making children and parents alike part of the community.
Extra-curricular clubs offered cover academic, sports and arts and crafts, for example, Chess, ICT, gardening, tag rugby, and sewing to mention a few.
We are incredibly fortunate to be surrounded by wonderful grounds which are used for Learning Outside the Classroom (LOTC). Pre-Prep pupils also receive swimming sessions from Reception to Year 2 in the 25m pool located at the College.
“… sets out to make childhood last as long as possible but does a great job of developing pupils’ independence along the way.”
